"Name Flower Painter" Park Seoksin Holds "Your Name Is a Flower" Exhibition

Artist Park Seoksin, known as the "Name Flower Painter," is holding the exhibition "Your Name Is a Flower," providing a space for citizens to experience healing and empathy through art.

This exhibition is being held at the first-floor gallery of the Dong Daejeon Library from September 1 to September 28, featuring the artist's participation with paintings, drawings, installation art, and interactive performances involving the audience.

The exhibition focuses on transforming the personal symbol of a "name" into a flower, connecting life, memory, and nature through art. It conveys the message that a name is not merely a label, but holds a person's history and emotions, helping each visitor recognize their own existence as something as beautiful and precious as a flower.

The exhibition features around 20 pieces from the artist's representative painting series, "Children Who Lived in the Tiger Village." This series captures memories of childhood, communal life, and the interaction between nature and humans, characterized by a style that combines humor and warmth.

In addition, the "Name Flower" painting and drawing series will be introduced. This body of work transforms the names and stories of visitors into floral forms, delivering a message of healing that is both personal and universal.

Furthermore, the interactive installation "Blooming Memories" will be presented. Visitors can leave their own writings and drawings, allowing a new forest of memories to bloom in one corner of the exhibition space. This transforms the exhibition from a passive viewing experience into a participatory one, created together with the audience.

In particular, the "Memory Notebook" participation corner allows visitors to record and share their names, memories, and wishes. Through this, the exhibition space becomes more than just a place to appreciate artworks; it evolves into a venue for emotional exchange and empathy across generations.

Park Seoksin stated, "A name is not just a label, but a symbol that contains each person's life," adding, "I hope that through this exhibition, everyone can feel that their name and life are as precious and beautiful as a flower."
