Hyundai Sells 336,000 Vehicles Globally in August, Up 0.4% Year-on-Year

Hyundai Motor Company announced on September 1 that it sold 336,395 vehicles in the global market in August 2025, marking a 0.4% increase compared to the same month last year.


Sales in South Korea reached 58,330 units, while overseas sales totaled 278,065 units, representing year-on-year increases of 0.4% and 0.5%, respectively.

In the domestic market, Hyundai sold a total of 16,551 sedans, including 5,139 units of the Grandeur, 3,527 units of the Sonata, and 7,655 units of the Avante. For recreational vehicles (RVs), a total of 21,272 units were sold, including 5,232 units of the Palisade, 3,303 units of the Santa Fe, 3,873 units of the Tucson, 3,013 units of the Kona, and 1,247 units of the Casper.


The Porter recorded sales of 5,547 units, while the Staria sold 3,246 units. The combined sales of medium and large buses and trucks reached 2,202 units. The luxury brand Genesis sold a total of 9,311 units, including 2,826 units of the G80, 2,635 units of the GV80, and 2,983 units of the GV70.


Overseas sales were tallied at 278,065 units, a 0.5% increase compared to the same month last year.


A Hyundai Motor Company representative stated, "We will strengthen our sales and production systems to better align with local demand and policies, enabling us to respond flexibly to changes in each regional market. We also plan to steadily expand our market share by launching competitive new models."
