The "2025 Gwangju ACE Fair" (Asia Content & Entertainment Fair in Gwangju), the largest comprehensive cultural content exhibition in Korea, has concluded with significant achievements.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the ACE Fair was held from August 28 to 31 at the Kim Daejung Convention Center under the slogan "Beyond the Paradigm, Invitation to Gwangju."
This year’s exhibition featured a record scale, with 400 companies from 33 countries and over 200 global buyers participating. Content from a wide range of fields-including broadcasting, OTT, animation, games, XR, and VR-was showcased in one place, demonstrating both the present and future of the industry.
Notable achievements include 1,523 business consultations and contracts signed totaling 10,679,903 US dollars. In particular, the newly introduced "Investment Attraction Consultation" drew significant attention, with 12 global venture capital firms participating for the first time this year.
The exhibition hall was organized into various sections, including a themed pavilion retracing 20 years of Gwangju’s content industry history, as well as areas for characters, animation, broadcasting, webtoons, and digital content, sparking visitors’ curiosity.
Side events such as the AI Content Competition, Creator Seminar, and Cosplay Contest attracted enthusiastic participation from attendees. Lectures by Director Jang Seongho of "King of Kings" and MindC, author of "Will You Marry Me," received an especially positive response.
Unique programs for overseas buyers, such as the "Bleisure Tour" and the "Beer Fest Gwangju" collaboration, presented new models for business and cultural exchange.
Jeon Eunok, Director of Culture and Sports, stated, "Marking its 20th anniversary, the ACE Fair has established itself as a business platform combining Gwangju’s cultural assets and cutting-edge technology, as well as Korea’s leading cultural content exhibition where citizens participate together. We will continue to do our utmost to help Gwangju emerge as Asia’s leading cultural content hub city, spearheading the global expansion of the K-Content industry by expanding exchanges with global companies and achieving results in investment attraction and exports."
