Korea Tourism Organization Recruits Participants for "Family Accompaniment Youth Dream Trip" for Tourism-Vulnerable Youth

Recruiting 500 Participants Until September 5

The Korea Tourism Organization announced on September 1 that it will recruit 500 participants for the "Family Accompaniment, Youth Dream Trip" program, targeting youth from tourism-vulnerable groups such as families with disabled youth and multicultural families, until September 5.

The Korea Tourism Organization explained that this program was designed to provide positive experiences through travel to youth from tourism-vulnerable groups who have limited opportunities to travel, and to create lasting memories with their families. The Youth Dream Trip will be operated as a one-day program, running from September 16 to September 30.

The program will be held in seven regions across the country, each with a unique theme: the "Chuncheon Career Exploration Trip" offers career experiences at the Animation Museum and other venues; the "Paju DMZ Educational Trip" provides lessons on the history of division at Imjingak and Tongildongsan; the "Ulsan Marine Exploration Trip" follows the path of whales; the "Andong Humanities Trip" traces the footsteps of scholars; the "Gumi Healing Nature Trip" is enjoyed on Geumosan Mountain; the "Changwon Marine Experience Trip" allows participants to become a sailor for a day; and the "Jeonju History Trip" explores the rich history of Jeonju.

Eligible applicants include families with disabled youth or youth (ages 9 to 24), as well as families with multiple children, multicultural families, grandparent-grandchild families, and single-parent families.

Moon Jiyeong, head of the Tourism Welfare Center at the Korea Tourism Organization, stated, "We hope this opportunity will allow youth to explore a new world," adding, "The Korea Tourism Organization will continue to operate a variety of travel programs for tourism-vulnerable groups who usually have limited opportunities or face difficulties in traveling."
