CEO Im Jin Dal of HS Hyosung Advanced Materials Discusses Economic Cooperation with Vietnam

Attending the 33rd Anniversary of Korea-Vietnam Diplomatic Relations
Highlighting Cooperation in Meeting with Ambassador Vu Ho
Employing 10,000 Local Staff Since Entering Vietnam in 2007

HS Hyosung Advanced Materials has expressed its commitment to maintaining ongoing cooperation with Vietnam.


On September 1, HS Hyosung Advanced Materials announced that CEO Im Jin Dal attended the event celebrating the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day and the 33rd anniversary of Korea-Vietnam diplomatic relations, held on August 29 at Lotte Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul. At the event, CEO Im met with Vu Ho, the Ambassador of Vietnam to Korea, to discuss strategies for economic cooperation between the two countries and investment plans for businesses such as carbon fiber.

HS Hyosung considers Vietnam to be one of its most successful cases of overseas expansion. Since first entering Vietnam in 2007, the company has invested approximately 4.6 billion dollars (about 6.4 trillion won) and currently employs more than 10,000 local staff. HS Hyosung has established production bases in Dong Nai and Ba Ria-Vung Tau provinces in southern Vietnam and Quang Nam province in central Vietnam, where it manufactures advanced materials such as high-performance tire cords, technical yarns, and carbon fiber.


CEO Im stated, "Vietnam holds a pivotal position in HS Hyosung's global supply chain and future growth strategy," adding, "I expect that this discussion will further strengthen the cooperative relationship between the two countries."
