Woongjin Thinkbig to Officially Launch AI Reading Platform "Bookstory" in October

First Launch at Public Libraries
"Striving to Bridge the Digital Reading Gap"

Woongjin Thinkbig announced on September 1 that it will officially launch its artificial intelligence (AI)-based reading platform, Bookstory, next month and will introduce the service for the first time at the Gyeonggi Provincial Library, which will also open in the same month.

Bookstory is an innovative reading solution where AI analyzes the text of picture books and reads them aloud in a user-selected voice. It enhances reading immersion by adding story-appropriate visual effects, background music, and quizzes. Earlier this year, it was recognized for its technology and effectiveness by winning the Best Innovation Award in the AI category at CES 2025, the world's largest consumer electronics show.

Woongjin Thinkbig recently signed a contract with the Gyeonggi Provincial Library to supply Bookstory and books published by the company. The service will be available to everyone through tablets placed in the children's section and other areas within the library. The company also plans to seek further cooperation with local libraries within Gyeonggi Province and to expand the supply to libraries nationwide.

Kim Ilkyung, Head of the DGP Business Division at Woongjin Thinkbig, said, "Bookstory is a service designed to help children naturally become familiar with books and develop reading habits in an era where literacy is increasingly important. Starting with this supply to the Gyeonggi Provincial Library, we will work to spread new reading experiences through collaboration with public institutions and strive to bridge the digital reading gap."
