Chinese Woman Referred to Prosecution After Attempting to Enter
BTS Members Face Ongoing Privacy Invasions Amid Intense Public Attention
A woman in her 40s was arrested for trespassing in the parking lot of BTS member Jungkook's residence.
The Yongsan Police Station in Seoul announced on the 31st that they have booked a Korean national, Ms. A, on charges of trespassing.

Ms. A was caught in the act and arrested by police after entering the parking lot of Jungkook's single-family home in Yongsan District at around 11:20 p.m. the previous night. Police are currently investigating the circumstances that led Ms. A to enter the parking lot.
Previously, on June 11, the day Jungkook was discharged from the military, a Chinese woman in her 30s, Ms. B, was also arrested in the act after repeatedly attempting to enter Jungkook's home by pressing the door lock code several times. The Yongsan Police Station referred Ms. B to the prosecution without detention on the 27th. It was found that Ms. B is not a resident of Korea and stated that she came to Korea to see Jungkook after his discharge.
Jungkook, who enlisted in the army together with fellow BTS member Jimin in December 2023, completed 18 months of service in the artillery brigade of the 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon County, Gyeonggi Province, and was honorably discharged.
Previously, BTS member Jin was suddenly kissed on the cheek by a Japanese woman in her 50s during a "hug event" with fans held immediately after his discharge in June last year. After receiving a report from a netizen, police referred this Japanese woman to the prosecution in May on charges of sexual harassment in a public place under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes.
During his military service, Jungkook became the target of a hacking organization led by a Chinese national, resulting in the theft of HYBE shares worth 8.4 billion won. However, actual losses were prevented due to payment suspension measures. The ringleader, Mr. Jeon, a 35-year-old who was apprehended in Thailand and extradited to Korea, was handed over to the prosecution on the 29th.
