Chuncheon City Puts 'Citizen Safety First'... Launches Special Inspections Ahead of Chuseok Holiday

Special Safety Inspections at 24 Multi-Use and Terrorism-Prone Sites from September 1 to 19

Chuncheon City in Gangwon Province (Mayor Yuk Donghan) will launch a special safety inspection ahead of the Chuseok holiday to ensure the safety of its citizens.

On August 31, Chuncheon City announced that it will conduct intensive inspections of 24 multi-use facilities and potential terrorism targets every Monday through Friday for three weeks, from September 1 to September 19.

The city will organize inspection teams consisting of experts in the fields of police, firefighting, electricity, gas, and construction. These teams will thoroughly check safety management at multi-use facilities and terrorism targets, such as large supermarkets, traditional markets, Chuncheon Intercity Bus Terminal, and Chuncheon Underground Shopping Center, where large crowds are expected to gather. The inspection teams will also place special emphasis on whether crisis response manuals and training plans have been established.
