Led Core Purchasing and New Vehicle Development for Overseas Markets at Renault Group
Nicolas Paris, the new CEO of Renault Korea, will assume his position on September 1.
After earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Nicolas Paris graduated from Reims Management School in France. He worked at the global auto parts company ZF Lenksysteme before joining Renault Group in 2015.
The new CEO has been in charge of core purchasing operations at Renault Group, including new vehicle development for overseas markets, chassis and platform, electrification, and advanced technologies. From 2019, he served for more than three years as Head of Purchasing at the Alliance Innovation Lab in Shanghai, China, where he was deeply involved in developing advanced technologies in electrification, autonomous driving, and connectivity. The Renault Innovation Lab was an organization that collaborated with leading startups in major cities worldwide to jointly develop and support the integration of advanced technologies into the automotive industry.
Subsequently, from 2023 until recently, Paris served as Vice President in charge of purchasing for batteries, e-powertrains, ADAS, connectivity, software, and electronic components, contributing to Renault Group's technological innovation and transition to electric vehicles. Paris is expected to demonstrate leadership in the company's future roadmap for the development of eco-friendly new vehicles.
Stephane Deblaise, the former CEO of Renault Korea, will move to the position of CEO overseeing Renault Group's operations in India starting September 1.
