Integrated Purchase of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Equipment
Planned Expansion of Cooperation Across the Entire SK Group

On August 31, SK Telecom announced that it had recently signed an integrated purchase agreement for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) equipment with Schneider Electric for the construction of the SK AI Data Center Ulsan, and that the two companies had entered into an agreement to expand the scope of their strategic cooperation.
The two companies have already formed a working group and explored ways to collaborate since establishing a partnership in March. This agreement marks the first outcome of their partnership, with Schneider’s MEP equipment in five areas-including switchboards, UPS, transformers, and automatic control systems-to be supplied in an integrated manner to the AI data center.
Additionally, the agreement includes integrating Schneider’s ETAP solution into SKT’s unified AI DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) system to pursue operational optimization based on digital twins. Through this, the two companies plan to maximize data center operational efficiency and further advance the capabilities of the SKT AI DCIM solution.
ETAP is a leading software in the power system digital twin market, offering advanced solutions that cover all stages of power design, analysis, and operation. DCIM refers to software and tools that monitor and manage power consumption and infrastructure utilization in real time.
In addition, SKT and Schneider signed an additional MOU to expand their cooperation across the entire group. This MOU includes: ▲ collaboration on developing Schneider’s UPS (uninterruptible power supply) and ESS (energy storage system) using SK On’s lithium-ion batteries, and ▲ expanding cooperation based on the MEP equipment demand of the entire SK Group.
Pankaj Sharma, Executive Vice President and President of Secure Power and Services at Schneider Electric, who attended the MOU signing ceremony, said, "We will continue to build a sustainable and efficient next-generation data center ecosystem through close cooperation with SKT."
Yu Youngsang, CEO of SKT, stated, "This collaboration is expected to not only contribute to the construction of the Guro AI Data Center and the gigawatt-level expansion of the Ulsan AI Data Center, but also to create the best synergy by expanding cooperation to other SK Group affiliates."
