Gangwon Provincial Council Provides 10,000 Bottles of Emergency Water to Gangneung for Drought Relief

The Gangwon Provincial Council (Chairman Kim Siseong) announced on August 30 that it had provided 10,000 bottles (2L each) of emergency drinking water to support the citizens of Gangneung City who are struggling due to the ongoing drought.

The delivery ceremony, held at Gangneung City Hall on August 28, was attended by Chairman Kim Siseong, Vice Chairman Kim Yongbok, four standing committee chairmen (Lee Hanyeong, Moon Gwanhyeon, Choi Gyuman, and Lee Younguk), Vice Chairman Jin Jongho, as well as Gangneung district council members Kwon Hyukyeol, Choi Seungsun, and Sim Ohseop, making a total of 10 participants.


On this day, the provincial council delivered 10,000 bottles of 2L drinking water to Gangneung City to help overcome the severe drought crisis the city is facing.


Chairman Kim Siseong stated, "The pain experienced by the citizens of Gangneung is the pain of the entire Gangwon Province. We hope that this provision of drinking water, though small, will be of some help, and the provincial council will continue to work together with Gangneung City until the drought is completely overcome."
