Muan County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Kim San) carried out residential environment improvement activities for vulnerable households affected by heavy rain in Unnam-myeon on August 28, marking "Our Neighborhood Welfare Task Force Day." The initiative utilized lottery funds.

On this day, more than 40 people from both public and private sectors participated, including the county and Unnam-myeon Welfare Task Force, the Muan Fire Station 119 Safety Patrol, the Muan branch of Korea Electric Power Meter Reading Service (KEPCO MCS), the Muan County Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, and volunteers from the Korean Women's Association. They worked together to repair aging homes and resolve daily inconveniences for the affected households.

The household in question had suffered severe flooding inside the house due to heavy rainfall earlier this month, making it extremely difficult to restore their home. However, members of the Welfare Task Force and collaborating organizations put forth their best efforts, working hard to clean both inside and outside, replace wallpaper and flooring, and remove flood-damaged waste to create a pleasant living environment.

Kim San, Governor of Muan County, stated, "The Welfare Task Force serves as a reliable source of hope for our neighbors in need," adding, "We will continue to do our best to deliver warmth throughout the community and provide welfare services so that everyone can feel the spirit of living together."
