15 Programs Including ESG Seminars, Safety Inspections,
and Community Sharing to Be Held September 1-5
Busan Port Authority (BPA), led by President Song Sangkeun, will host the '2025 BPA ESG·Innovation Week' from September 1 to 5.
Now in its second year, this event will be held under the theme 'BPA ESG, 0 to 100.'
'0' represents minimizing environmental impact, '50' stands for mutual growth and cooperation with partner companies and the local community, and '100' signifies building trust. These numbers reflect the direction of ESG management that BPA aims to pursue.
Reflecting the growing importance of ESG management, the event has expanded significantly from six programs last year to a total of 15 programs this year.
During the event, BPA employees and Busan Port partner companies will participate in various activities scheduled throughout the week, including: ▲ESG seminars and action campaigns ▲initiatives to spread a culture of integrity ▲on-site safety inspections by management ▲eco-friendly practices in daily life ▲community sharing activities ▲and digital innovation workshops.
The highlight of the week, the '3rd Sustainable ESG Management Seminar,' will be held on September 4 at the Busan Port International Exhibition and Convention Center.
This seminar, themed 'ESG: The Key to Sustainable Growth of Busan Port,' will feature four sessions: ▲preparations for ESG management ▲an ESG implementation case from a mid-sized company (Techcross) ▲a safety management case from a small business (GSB Solution) ▲and human rights sensitivity education through film.
Other events open to the public include a bazaar (September 2), upcycling volunteer activities using waste resources (September 3 to November 5), the ESG seminar (September 4), and the innovation digital workshop (September 5). Applications for participation can be made via the QR code on the poster or through the BPA ESG Management Office.
Song Sangkeun, President of BPA, stated, "Through BPA ESG·Innovation Week, I hope the ESG values that Busan Port pursues will be widely shared with citizens," adding, "We will continue to spread a culture of ESG practices throughout Busan Port in the future."
