The two companies plan to jointly identify and execute robot-based system integration (SI) projects, as well as collaborate in advance on the development and demonstration of innovative robotics and logistics IT technologies.

Korea Networks is an IT and SI specialist company that provides integrated logistics solutions, including logistics automation and smart factories, based on 25 years of expertise in logistics IT. Maersk is a global shipping and logistics company headquartered in Denmark, offering contract logistics services in South Korea.

In June, the two companies jointly opened the "Innovation Center" at the Yeoju logistics center. The center consists of a demo room for showcasing logistics automation equipment, a dashboard room for logistics system demonstrations and meetings, and a future room introducing forward-looking logistics robots.

Korea Networks plans to use this space for its own research and development, while also operating it as a platform for industry exchange by regularly inviting stakeholders to share trends in logistics technology.

Cho Youngmin, CEO of Korea Networks, stated, "This will be a crucial turning point for the advancement of smart logistics systems and the establishment of a customer-oriented service framework," adding, "We will enhance our technological competitiveness and lead the future logistics market, with the Innovation Center at the core."
