Incheon City is operating an intensive reporting period for livelihood regulations in order to resolve inconveniences in citizens' daily lives and to promote revitalization of the local economy.
This intensive reporting period is a citizen-participatory regulatory improvement policy that takes place twice a year, in March and September. For the second half of this year, it will be conducted throughout the month of September.
Citizens can submit their regulatory difficulties via email, while companies and institutions will be supported through the "On-Site Local Regulation Reporting Center," which allows for direct consultation and submission on-site.
Any citizen can freely submit inconveniences experienced in daily life. Submissions should include the current situation, issues, relevant laws, and proposed improvements, and can be sent via email (inbetter@korea.kr).
Additionally, unless there are special circumstances, the results of submitted suggestions will be sent by email within 14 days. Issues not directly related to regulatory improvement will be directed to other civil complaint channels such as the National Petition Portal.
An official from Incheon City stated, "Citizen interest and participation are most important for regulatory improvement," and added, "We will actively review the opinions received to ensure they lead to tangible improvements."
