A Diverse Lineup Featuring Luamel, Park Soeun, and Nerd Connection
Seodaemun-gu in Seoul (District Mayor Lee Sungheon) will host the “3rd Sinchon Indie Music Festival - Still Summer” on a special stage at Sinchon Star Plaza from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on September 5.
This year’s festival will feature indie band Nerd Connection as the main act, along with several other indie music artists who will take the stage to transform Sinchon into a vibrant youth music city. Seodaemun-gu previously held successful indie music festivals in May and October last year.
The opening performances will be given by bands Aeil and NVM, selected through the youth musician production support program “Alive Indie Musician.” They will be followed by alternative rock band Luamel, singer-songwriter Park Soeun, and the main band Nerd Connection, all delivering passionate performances.
In addition to the concerts, from 1:00 p.m. on the same day, various experience booths will be set up along Sinchon Yonsei-ro and at the Myungmul Rest Area, including an indie music community, a beginner’s guide to bands, rock band merchandise sales, temporary tattoos and nail art, among others. Special discount products from brands at Hyundai Department Store will also be available.
This year’s festival will be a standing-only event with no seating, allowing anyone to enjoy the event freely on-site without reservations. In the event of large crowds, some entry may be restricted.
Lee Sungheon, Mayor of Seodaemun-gu, stated, “The open concert Sinchon Indie Music Festival is expected not only to widely promote the charm of indie music but also to bring new energy to the Sinchon area.”
