1,079 Pass the Gwangju Equivalency Exam
Pass Rate Rises to 84.63% from Previous Round
Certificates Available Until September 19
According to the announcement made by the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education on August 29, the oldest successful candidates in the "2025 2nd Elementary, Middle, and High School Equivalency Examination" were 69 years old for the elementary level, 77 years old for the middle school level, and 73 years old for the high school level. A total of 1,079 candidates passed the exam, resulting in a pass rate of 84.63%.
A total of 1,456 people applied for this exam, and 1,275 candidates actually took the test, including 62 for the elementary level, 182 for the middle school level, and 1,031 for the high school level. Of these, 60 passed the elementary level, 155 passed the middle school level, and 864 passed the high school level. The pass rate increased by 3.88 percentage points compared to the first round (80.75%).
The city office of education will issue certificates of passing at the exam management office on the first floor of the city office of education annex until September 19. For the convenience of test-takers, certificates can also be sent by mail. Certificates of passing, transcripts, and subject-specific certificates can be issued from August 29 through the NAISE public service platform after logging in with a joint authentication certificate. They can also be issued at unmanned civil service issuance machines located in elementary, middle, and high schools nationwide, education office civil service centers, and administrative welfare centers.
