Continuing the Sea Cultivation Project in Seosan
Expanding Scholarship and Rice Donation Initiatives

HD Hyundai Oilbank continues to engage in a wide range of social contribution activities, including providing flood relief donations in South Chungcheong Province, employee volunteer work, and scholarship programs.

This year, the company, together with the HD Hyundai 1% Sharing Foundation, donated 400 million won to flood-affected areas in South Chungcheong Province as part of its relief efforts. It also provided 100 million won in scholarships to children of truck drivers through the Freight Welfare Foundation. In addition, it donated goods worth 22 million won to children in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.

The company has also been consistently running volunteer programs in which employees actively participate. In June, around 60 employees took part in flood recovery activities in Haemi-myeon, Seosan, South Chungcheong Province. On Memorial Day, they participated in cemetery maintenance activities at the Seoul National Cemetery.

In Seosan, where the headquarters is located, the company has been running the “Sea Cultivation Project” for 23 years. In June, it released 200,000 rockfish fry into the sea off Samgilpo and Nanjido in Dangjin. Through the “Dream Assist Hope Plus Scholarship Program,” the company provided 78 million won in scholarships to 83 students in the South Chungcheong region.

Donations through rice purchase projects are also a representative initiative. Last year, the company delivered 500 bags of rice to the Western Chungnam Veterans Affairs Office, and this year, it provided white rice to 300 households of national merit recipients and veterans’ families.

In 2011, HD Hyundai Oilbank became the first major corporation to establish the 1% Sharing Foundation, where employees voluntarily donate 1% of their salaries. Since 2020, the company has been expanding its social contribution activities in collaboration with the HD Hyundai 1% Sharing Foundation, which now includes all affiliates of HD Hyundai.
