Hana Bank announced on August 29 that it has established the "Dementia Care Financial Center," the first specialized organization in the financial sector dedicated to dementia.
Until now, domestic financial institutions have mainly provided life-cycle solutions for seniors or services focused on trust products. However, with the establishment of this dedicated organization, Hana Bank offers professional consulting services that ensure peace of mind for both dementia patients and their families.
At the "Dementia Care Financial Center," professional consultants are assigned to provide dementia care solutions for each stage of the condition, including: ▲pre-dementia, designing dementia care trusts and utilizing voluntary guardianship systems; ▲post-dementia, supporting the implementation of adult guardianship systems; and ▲lifestyle support for families such as care, nursing, and caregiving.
In particular, Hana Bank has strengthened reliability and expertise by collaborating with external professional organizations such as the Korea Guardianship Association and the non-profit OnYul. The Korea Guardianship Association operates public guardian training and education programs, while OnYul specializes in public guardianship support for socially vulnerable groups such as dementia patients, minors, and people with disabilities.
In addition, all of Hana Bank's Private Bankers (PBs) have completed dementia partner training at the National Dementia Center, creating an environment where clients and their families can comfortably seek advice on dementia-related concerns.
A Hana Bank representative stated, "Dementia is not just an individual issue but a very important social issue that directly affects the lives of entire families," and added, "Hana Bank will provide practical solutions as a companion to our clients so that dementia is no longer a source of fear or lonely worry."
Anyone can receive free dementia-related consultations through the "Dementia Care Financial Center," regardless of whether they are a Hana Bank customer. Consultation appointments can be made at Hana Bank branches, Hana The Next Lounge, or through Hana OneQ.
Meanwhile, Hana Bank recently opened its fourth Hana The Next Yeongdeungpo Lounge, following Euljiro, Seolleung Station, and Seocho-dong. Through professional consultants known as "Hana The Next Managers," the bank provides successful retirement solutions proposed by senior experts, including: ▲analysis of retirement fund needs and future asset portfolio design; ▲smart asset transfer preparation using testamentary trusts; and ▲health management and non-financial senior-focused content.
