DB Insurance Signs Cybersecurity Business Agreement with SK Shieldus

DB Insurance announced on the 29th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with SK Shieldus to establish a response and compensation service for cybersecurity risks.


The signing ceremony, held at the SK Shieldus Pangyo Building, was attended by Choi Hyuksung, Head of DB Insurance Division, Kim Byungmu, Head of SK Shieldus Division, and other officials from both companies.


The core of this business agreement is to collaborate in various ways to build a cyber crisis response system for domestic companies, covering everything from the prevention of cyber incidents to post-incident response and recovery. The main objective is to enhance the cyber resilience of medium-sized and small businesses.

According to the "2025 First Half Cyber Threat Trends Report" released by the Ministry of Science and ICT on August 5, the number of reported cyber breach incidents in the first half of this year increased by more than 15% compared to the same period last year. Among the various types of incidents, medium-sized and small businesses accounted for 93% of all ransomware breach cases.


Jung Jongpyo, CEO of DB Insurance, stated, "Minor actions by employees, such as opening emails from unclear sources, can cause significant damage to a company. We expect that the various services provided through this business agreement will create great synergy in helping medium-sized and small businesses establish crisis response systems against cyber threats."
