The community bathhouse is a shared facility operated by the Moksangdong Resident Welfare Center and is a popular space among residents of Moksangdong, where the Hankook Tire Daejeon Plant is located, as well as those living in nearby areas.
Based on communication with the local community, Hankook Tire contributed a total of 70 million won to the bathhouse expansion project to enable more residents to use the facility.
Hankook Tire is taking the lead in supporting the modernization of shared community and social welfare facilities in Daedeok-gu, accelerating its efforts to promote coexistence with the local community. In December last year, the company visited 15 senior welfare centers in Deogam-dong and donated the latest electronic appliances worth a total of 24 million won. It also provided about 20 million won to help establish a laundry facility exclusively for low-income families in Seokbong-dong.
In addition, Hankook Tire donated a total of approximately 80 million won to support projects such as the remodeling of the Shintanjin-dong Welfare Mandurebang, a meal delivery service facility for seniors living alone, and the opening of a multipurpose community shared space at the Moksangdong Administrative Welfare Center.
Seo Eudon, Head of Safety and Production Technology at Hankook Tire, said, "We hope this will help local residents use the facility in a more pleasant environment," adding, "We will continue to create opportunities to contribute to the local community by carrying out various support projects focused on the beneficiaries."
