Two Varieties Debut in Korea for the First Time
Naracella announced on August 29 that it will introduce two varieties of the eco-friendly organic Scotch whisky brand "Nc'nean" in Korea for the first time.
"Nc'nean" is a premium single malt whisky created at an independent distillery located on the west coast of Scotland. The brand emphasizes sustainability as its core value, using only 100% organic barley and renewable energy sources throughout the distillation process. The bottles are also made from 100% recycled glass.
The products being launched in Korea are "Nc'nean Organic Single Malt Whisky" and "Nc'nean Cask Strength Batch MN21 Whisky." Both products are non-chill filtered, feature natural color, and are certified organic and vegan.
Nc'nean Organic Single Malt Whisky offers a tangy fruit aroma of grapefruit and apricot, complemented by the sweetness of banana. Its flavor profile is reminiscent of honey and tropical fruit cream cake, unfolding smoothly on the palate. This is followed by a spicy finish that leaves a pleasant lingering aftertaste. Nc'nean Cask Strength Batch MN21 Whisky combines the refreshing aromas of pineapple, mango, and passion fruit with notes of vanilla, caramel, and oak. Despite its intense cask strength, the creamy texture enhances the rich fruit flavors of peach, dried apricot, and apple. Warm notes of pepper, cinnamon, and clove, along with the savory character of aged oak and roasted nuts, add depth and leave a long, dry, and clean finish.
To celebrate the launch, a dedicated Nc'nean brand space has been set up inside Hyundai Department Store, where consumers can experience tastings firsthand. The first 20 customers to make a purchase will receive a handcrafted candle, and a special launch discount will be offered throughout September. Naracella plans to expand its sales channels, starting with Hyundai Department Store as its base.

Meanwhile, the brand name Nc'nean is inspired by "Neachneohain," the guardian of nature from Scottish Gaelic folklore. More than just an alcoholic beverage, it carries the message of "whisky for a better planet," and is rapidly growing in the global market, particularly among Millennials & Gen Z consumers who are highly environmentally conscious.
