"Chairperson Lee Jinsook Should Be the Mayor of Daegu"
Jeon Hangil, a conservative YouTuber and former Korean history instructor, asserted his influence within the conservative camp by claiming that anyone who joins hands with him could become a local government head, and potentially even a member of the National Assembly or the president in the future.
On the 27th, during a YouTube live broadcast from Washington, D.C., Jeon emphasized his significant contribution by stating, "Jang Donghyuk, who embraced Jeon Hangil, has been elected as the party leader." Previously, Jeon had departed for the United States on the 24th, announcing his intention to cover the Korea-U.S. summit.

Jeon further declared, "Let me make another prediction. Whoever embraces Jeon Hangil will become a local government head next year and could also receive a nomination for the National Assembly in the future. The person who embraces me could even become the next president."
He then introduced a post by former Democratic Party lawmaker Kim Kwangjin, which suggested that Jeon and Lee Jinsook, Chairperson of the Korea Communications Commission, would compete for the position of Daegu mayor in next year’s local elections. Jeon commented, "Chairperson Lee is my senior from Kyungpook National University," and added, "Chairperson Lee should be the mayor of Daegu." He continued, "I have no desire for nominations, but even if I were to receive one, if Chairperson Lee runs for Daegu mayor, I would absolutely yield the position," stressing that he has no personal ambition for the role.
Additionally, regarding Jang Donghyuk, the newly elected leader of the People Power Party, Jeon stated, "We have a deep mutual trust. There may be attempts to drive a wedge between us, but we are connected in spirit." When asked whether Jang would appoint him as a nominated member of the party’s Supreme Council, Jeon responded, "I will remain an ordinary party member and support everyone from behind."
