Video Rating Board Partners with Netflix, Tving, and Others to Strengthen Youth Protection

"Creating a Safe Viewing Environment"

The Video Rating Board and nine major OTT providers have joined forces to strengthen youth protection. At a joint cooperation declaration ceremony held at the Korea Press Center on the 28th, they agreed to reinforce youth protection in the OTT platform environment and to promote a culture of proper video content usage.

The nine participating companies were Netflix, Wavve, Disney Korea, Tving, Coupang Play, Apple Korea, Watcha, LG Uplus, and Weverse Company. Going forward, they plan to expand the use and promotion of youth protection features and support parental guidance for viewing at home.


Kim Byungjae, Chairperson of the Video Rating Board, stated, "We will do our utmost to create an environment where young people can safely enjoy video content on OTT platforms."
