Fire Breaks Out on Construction Site Truck Due to Gas Leak

A fire broke out on a 1-ton cargo truck during road maintenance work in Eojin-dong, Sejong City, and was extinguished within 12 minutes.

According to the Sejong Fire Headquarters on the 28th, there were no injuries from the fire, but part of the cargo truck and equipment were burned, resulting in property damage estimated at approximately 22 million won by the fire department. The fire headquarters believes the blaze started when gas leaked from the LPG cylinder connection hose while crack repair material was being heated in specialized equipment installed on the truck bed during road maintenance work. The exact cause of the fire is under investigation.
