Naju Officials Visit Jwagwangcheon Provincial Garden for Collaboration and Inspiration
Gijang County (Governor Jeong Jongbok) announced on the 28th that on the 26th, Mayor Byungtae Yoon of Naju City and officials from Naju visited the Jwagwangcheon Provincial Garden to share operational case studies and discuss future strategies for mutually beneficial cooperation.
This visit was arranged in connection with Naju City's ongoing "Yeongsangang River Garden Project" and aimed to learn from the successful creation and management experience of Jwagwangcheon Provincial Garden, which is the first local government-registered provincial garden in the Busan area.
On this day, Mayor Yoon listened to explanations from county officials about the registration process, operational plans, and major initiatives to spread garden culture. He explored ways to leverage diverse garden cultures for regional development. He also toured the four-season themed gardens and walking trails of Jwagwangcheon, reviewed the current operational status, and exchanged garden management know-how with Gijang County officials.
Mayor Byungtae Yoon stated, "Jwagwangcheon Provincial Garden is an open space that can be enjoyed by both residents and visitors, and it will be of great help in the creation of gardens in Naju City. I believe this visit will accelerate the spread of garden culture in Naju as well."
An official from Gijang County emphasized, "We will continue to nurture Jwagwangcheon Provincial Garden so that it can become a central hub of garden culture in Gijang. We will also strengthen exchanges and promotional efforts with other local governments to help revitalize regional tourism."
Jwagwangcheon Provincial Garden was created under the theme of "An emotional garden where you can feel Jwagwangcheon in everyday life" and consists of four themed gardens: Warmth, Benefit, Delight, and Longing. It is expected to contribute to the spread of garden culture and the revitalization of tourism in connection with the Jeonggwan Ecological Stream Learning and Culture Festival to be held in October.
