During his greeting speech at the workshop held at the Aviation Training Center of Incheon International Airport Corporation in Jung-gu, Incheon, that afternoon, Representative Jang declared, "I am also prepared to risk my life and fight at the forefront."

He continued, "What lies ahead of us is not hope. What lies ahead of us is oppression and suppression. Right now, we face hardship and tears," adding, "The People Power Party must now fight and innovate."

He further explained, "We must give hope to the people through struggle and innovation. We must fight and innovate to prevent the Lee Jaemyung administration from dismantling the nation and making policy failures."

Jang added, "Struggle and innovation require self-sacrifice as well. I hope this workshop will be a venue for us to pledge to shed our skins and achieve innovation through sacrifice."

Song Eonseok, floor leader of the People Power Party, said in his opening remarks, "The government and ruling party should cooperate on any policies, legislation, or institutional designs that benefit the people and the national interest, but from what I see, they are not doing anything right. We must present appropriate alternatives and fight where necessary."

Song also mentioned that, the previous day, the National Assembly rejected the appointment of a National Human Rights Commission member recommended by the People Power Party due to opposition from the Democratic Party of Korea, stating, "We must regard this as a denial of the very existence of the opposition and respond with strong resistance."

He added, "I ask that, including how we will respond to the regular National Assembly session in September, members engage in serious and in-depth discussions during today's group debates to seek out alternatives."
