Korea University and Soonchunhyang University Medical Center Consortiums Participate
LH to Select Preferred Negotiation Partner in November
The "comprehensive hospital package development project" in Dongtan 2 New City, Hwaseong, which is being promoted by Hwaseong City and Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH), is now more likely to select a project operator after two failed bidding attempts.

Hwaseong City and LH announced on the 28th that, as a result of the re-announcement for attracting a university (general) hospital in Dongtan 2, which was posted on the 31st of last month, two consortiums have submitted letters of intent to participate.
The consortiums that submitted letters of intent are: Liz International Co., Ltd. and SDAMC Co., Ltd. Each consortium also submitted a letter of consent from Korea University Medical Center (Korea Central Educational Foundation) and Soonchunhyang University Medical Center (Dong Eun Educational Foundation), respectively.
Considering that both consortiums submitted a 500 million won bid deposit along with their letters of intent, the city expects that the likelihood of selecting a project operator is high in this bidding round. If the consortiums fail to submit their business proposals by October 30, the bid deposit will be forfeited, and the lead company of the consortium will be restricted from participating in any land sale-type public offering projects conducted by LH for one year.
If the consortiums submit their business proposals, LH will evaluate their comprehensive development plans, general hospital construction and operation plans, and project implementation capabilities to select a preferred negotiation partner.
Jung Myunggeun, Mayor of Hwaseong, said, "Attracting a general hospital is a core infrastructure directly linked to citizens' right to life and a long-awaited project for residents of Dongtan 2 New City. We will do our best to ensure the success of this project through close cooperation with LH."
