[Market Focus] Samhyun's Value Surges on "Yellow Envelope Act," Flooded with Collaboration Offers from Government and Corporates

As the amendment to the "Trade Union and Labor Relations Adjustment Act," commonly known as the "Yellow Envelope Act," passed the National Assembly plenary session, an increasing number of companies are seeking to introduce robotics technology into manufacturing sites. This is the reason behind the recent rebound in the stock price of Samhyun, a company that possesses core technologies in robotics, defense, and mobility. Samhyun's largest shareholder holds a 69.05% stake, meaning the number of shares in circulation is relatively limited.

[Market Focus] Samhyun's Value Surges on "Yellow Envelope Act," Flooded with Collaboration Offers from Government and Corporates

As of 9:50 a.m. on August 28, Samhyun was trading at 14,120 won, up 590 won (4.36%) from the previous trading day.

On the same day, Samhyun announced that it had been finally selected for the Physical Manufacturing AI Support Project (PINN Model Manufacturing-Convergence Data Collection and Demonstration Project) organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT. The company will work on developing a PINN (Physics-Informed Neural Network) model based on a Large Action Model (LAM) and establishing a system for collecting convergence data from manufacturing sites. Additionally, through pilot demonstrations, Samhyun aims to verify the original technology of the PL-LAM (Physics Intelligence Action Model) and build an ultra-precise manufacturing AI ecosystem that can be utilized in the global market.

Earlier, on August 6, Samhyun decided to participate in the K-Humanoid Alliance, which is organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology. The K-Humanoid Alliance is a public-private-academic consortium that covers all areas of the humanoid industry, including robot AI, components, systems, and sensors. Major domestic companies and institutions such as Rainbow Robotics, LG Electronics, Doosan Robotics, Seoul National University, KAIST, Pohang University of Science and Technology, Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), and the Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement are at the center of this consultative body, which will be fully operational starting this year. The alliance aims to make South Korea the world's leading country in humanoid technology by 2030.

Samhyun plans to apply its proprietary 3-in-1 integrated solution (motor, reducer, and controller in a single unit) optimized for the K-Humanoid project. The company will provide precision motor technology designated as a core strategic technology by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, planetary gears optimized for the operating environment, cycloidal and harmonic gear reducer design and manufacturing, and 48V architecture-based drive modules for humanoid robots. Samhyun is also pursuing a robot integration platform strategy that combines the robot control unit technology of its subsidiary EV Solution and the advanced robot intelligence software technology of Caselab.

According to its semiannual report, Samhyun revealed that various companies, including Hyundai Motor Group, are reaching out to collaborate on product development. Through advanced development, the CVVD has completed the design of both the drive and control units, achieving modernization. Samhyun has an exclusive 100% contract and supply agreement with Hyundai Motor Group. In addition, Hanwha Group, a defense company, is collaborating on the development, production, and supply of new products such as next-generation inverters.

Companies are pursuing factory automation to reduce costs resulting from a declining labor force and rising wages, as well as to improve manufacturing environments where it is difficult for humans to work and to enhance productivity. Demand for intelligent and mobile robots is increasing, and Samhyun is leading the market by developing drive modules and platforms targeting this trend.
