Noru Paint Extends Domestic Supply Contract for Global Paint Brand 'Sikkens'

On August 28, Noru Paint announced that it has extended its domestic supply contract for the automotive repair coating brand 'Sikkens'.

Sikkens is a specialized automotive repair coating brand owned by AkzoNobel, a global paint company based in the Netherlands. Noru Paint has held exclusive domestic sales rights since 2020 and has achieved more than triple its performance during this five-year period. The extension of this contract was made possible by these achievements and the stable growth of cooperation between the two companies.

With this contract extension, Noru Paint plans to actively expand the 'Sikkens' brand alongside its own water-based brand 'WaterQ'. Next year, the company will launch a new water-based tinting system called 'OPTIMA', which is a Wet-On-Wet type, and will actively target the growing premium imported car segment within the domestic automotive repair coating market.

The domestic automotive repair coating market continues to grow each year, driven by an increase in the number of registered vehicles and a steady rise in the market share of imported cars. In particular, demand for eco-friendly water-based coatings and premium repair products is increasing.

A Noru Paint representative stated, "We plan to hold OPTIMA business presentations and demonstration events within this year and begin full-scale sales starting next year," adding, "We will strengthen our marketing activities targeting both domestic and international imported car brands to further solidify our position in the premium coating market."
