One More Coffee Coupons Available Throughout September
Discounts and Coupons for Non-Members as Well
Starbucks announced on August 28 that, as it approaches 15 million Rewards members, it will hold the largest customer appreciation event in its history both online and offline throughout next month.
First, the company will expand its 'One More Coffee' service. While previously limited to five beverages (Brewed Coffee, Iced Coffee, Caffe Americano, Caffe Latte, and Cold Brew), the coupon offer will be extended to all handcrafted drinks for the entire month.
When Rewards members purchase a beverage using a Starbucks Card or account-based easy payment, they can order a second drink at a 60% discount 30 minutes later. Coupons can be used nationwide on the day they are issued. A tall-sized Brewed Coffee or Iced Coffee will be available for 1,800 won, and a Decaf Caffe Americano for 2,000 won.
Reward benefits will also increase. Gold and Green members can exchange just three stars for a 1,500 won discount coupon on beverages or food, and 30 stars for a 15,000 won discount on merchandise such as mugs and tumblers.
From the 1st to the 18th of next month, a discount event will allow even non-members to enjoy benefits. Five types of beverages, including Americano, Latte, and Cold Brew, will be discounted by 500 to 1,200 won when upsized, and a '1+1 coupon' will be offered for purchases of Frappuccino or Blended drinks.
Discount events will also be held simultaneously in the online store within the application. Through the 'Buddy Deal' promotion, featured weekly products will be sold for 15,000 won until the 21st of next month. The range of categories has been expanded to include desserts such as cakes, mugs, drippers, and other goods and coffee accessories. A promotion will also offer additional beverage coupons with the purchase of popular tumblers.
Starbucks Rewards, launched in September 2011, surpassed 5 million members in 2019 and 10 million in January 2023. Now, just two years and seven months later, it is on the verge of reaching 15 million members. The rapid increase in membership is attributed to the diversification of benefits and the expansion of mobile convenience features.
Over the past year, Starbucks has introduced new services such as a Rewards overhaul, the launch of Buddy Pass, and the introduction of account-based easy payment. Strengthening digital channels has also driven growth, with 38% of all orders now placed through the mobile 'Siren Order' system.
Lee Sangmi, Head of Marketing at Starbucks Korea, stated, "As we approach 15 million members, we have prepared the greatest benefits ever to thank our customers for their trust and support," adding, "We will continue to introduce a variety of programs tailored to our customers' lifestyles."
