Collaboration Between K-Bakery and K-Snacks
New Releases Include “Choco and Banana Kick Cake” and “Meoktae Kang Baguette Kang”
On August 28, CJ Foodville announced that Tous Les Jours, operated by the company, will launch four new products that incorporate Nongshim’s popular snack series: Kick, Kang, and Ring.
First, using Nongshim’s Banana Kick, the bakery introduces a new product called “Choco and Banana Kick Cake.” This cake features banana cream and chocolate ganache sandwiched between white cake layers, recreating the sweet and fluffy taste of Banana Kick in cake form. The cake band is decorated with the Banana Kick character kicking a piece of chocolate, and the cake is offered in a mini size.
The “Meoktae Kang Baguette Kang” combines crispy baguette with Meoktae Kang, and is available in two flavors: Cheongyang Mayo and Gochujang Mayo. Meoktae Kang seasoned with Cheongyang Mayo or Gochujang Mayo is coated on baguette bread, achieving a harmonious blend of savory and spicy flavors. It can be enjoyed as a unique snack by dipping it in mayonnaise or paired with beer.
The “Onion Ring Donut” captures both the flavor and shape of onion rings. Onion ring snack powder is added to the outside of the donut to enhance the onion flavor, resulting in a crispy exterior and chewy interior. It pairs well with various dipping sauces such as chili sauce or sriracha, allowing customers to enjoy it according to their preference.
The “Sweet Potato Kang Kouign-Amann” is made by rolling thin layers of pastry into a crispy kouign-amann, then topping it with caramelized sweet potato dices and sprinkling black sesame seeds. Heating it slightly in an oven or microwave and adding a scoop of ice cream makes for an even sweeter and more special dessert experience.
A CJ Foodville representative stated, “It is especially meaningful to present long-loved products in new ways through the collaboration between Tous Les Jours, representing K-bakery, and Nongshim, representing K-snacks.” The representative added, “We will continue to offer consumers new and special experiences through a variety of opportunities in the future.”
