Public Rental Housing Project Near Boramae Park Station Approved
Long-term Lease Apartments and Public Facilities
Including a Small Library to Be Established
A multi-family housing complex with 300 units, including long-term lease apartments, will be supplied near Boramae Park Station in Seoul.
On August 27, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that the public rental housing project plan for the area around 498-9 Sindaebang-dong, near Boramae Park Station, had passed the previous day's Architecture Committee review.
Through this project, a residential complex with four basement levels and 32 above-ground floors will be built, providing 300 units, including 74 long-term lease apartments.
In addition, neighborhood living facilities and a small library will be created on the first and second floors adjacent to Yeouidaebang-ro. The city expects that these amenities will significantly improve residents' convenience and create a mixed-use space that combines housing and cultural facilities, thereby driving the development of the station area.
Choi Jinseok, Director of Housing at the Seoul Metropolitan Government, stated, "This project goes beyond simply supplying housing; by providing long-term lease apartments and lifestyle convenience facilities together, it will greatly contribute to residential stability and quality of life for local residents. In particular, we hope that the Boramae Park area will be reborn as a balanced living space where housing and culture coexist, through the inclusion of a library and other social overhead capital (SOC) facilities."
