A Total of 1,453 Students Supported Since 2002
Sejung Nanum Foundation (Chairman Park Sunho) held the "2025 Scholarship Award Ceremony" on August 27 at the main auditorium of Sejung Group's headquarters in Geumjeong-gu, Busan, and awarded a total of 27.5 million KRW in scholarships to 21 local high school and university students.
The students selected for this round are exemplary individuals who have achieved outstanding academic performance despite challenging family circumstances. Eight high school students each received a scholarship certificate and 1 million KRW, while thirteen university students each received a certificate and 1.5 million KRW.
Sejung Nanum Foundation is presenting scholarships totaling 27.5 million KRW to 21 future talents and taking a commemorative photo.
The foundation's scholarship program, now in its 23rd year, has not only alleviated the burden of tuition fees but has also supported the improvement of educational environments by funding the purchase of learning resources. To date, a total of 1,453 students have benefited from the program, with total support amounting to 1.7 billion KRW.
The event was attended by Chairman Park Sunho, officials from Geumjeong-gu Office, local welfare centers, scholarship recipients, and their parents. Chairman Park stated, "I hope these scholarships will serve not just as financial support but as stepping stones toward your dreams," and added, "We will continue to provide strong support for the local community and future talents."
Park Eunmi, team leader at Geumjeong-gu Senior Welfare Center and a 2012 scholarship recipient, attended the event and remarked, "The foundation's scholarship was a warm encouragement that believed in my potential," adding, "I will give back as much as I have received and support the growth of others."
Established in 2011, Sejung Nanum Foundation has been engaged in a variety of social contribution activities beyond scholarships, including improving residential environments, providing medical support, and assisting isolated households and foreign workers.
