Diverse Lineup Ranging from 800,000 to 1.2 Million Won
The gift set presented by President Jae Myung Lee to US President Donald Trump during the South Korea-US summit has been drawing continuous attention. Among the gifts, a custom-made Korean putter designed specifically for President Trump, who is known for his passion for golf, stands out.

The custom putter gifted by President Lee is a product of the domestic brand GoldFive, tailored to fit President Trump’s physique. The model, called the Lion5 Tour Platinum, is priced at around 800,000 won. It features a length of 34 inches, a head weight of 360 grams, and a leather grip. The putter head incorporates the “Beoseonko” design, inspired by the traditional eaves of Hanok architecture, and is laser-engraved with President Trump’s name as well as the phrase “45th·47th President.”
Domestic Production and Diverse Lineup
GoldFive is a Korean golf brand founded in 2018 by CEO Jong Sung Lee. After working at global companies such as Callaway, he began his specialized putter business in 2011 by importing the luxury handcrafted putter TP Mills. He later established his own brand to sell custom-made Korean putters. The entire process, from design to machining and testing, takes place at the company’s factory in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, and the putter gifted to President Trump was also produced there.
In addition to the Lion5 Tour Platinum, GoldFive offers a variety of products, including the Zoe6 and Justin1 models in the 800,000 won Tour Platinum series, as well as the 900,000 won Tour Black series. The company’s premium lineup, such as Steve Custom and Broomstick, is priced between 1 million and 1.2 million won. Generally, product prices range from 800,000 to 1.2 million won.

On August 26, a GoldFive representative shared in a phone interview with The Korea Economic Daily that in June, someone who introduced themselves as a businessman called, saying, “I would like to purchase a putter as a gift for President Trump,” which led to the start of production. Initially, the requested engravings were President Trump’s inauguration date, “2025.1.20,” and the phrase “WE GO TOGETHER,” but according to the Presidential Office, President Trump’s name and the phrase “45th·47th President” were later added.
CEO Jong Sung Lee told The Korea Economic Daily, “At first, I couldn’t believe it was really for President Trump,” adding, “I was truly surprised to see our putter being presented to President Trump in the news.” He continued, “This opportunity has allowed us to promote our brand more widely, and we will strive to create even better products and elevate the status of Korean luxury putters.” Currently, the main screen of the GoldFive homepage features the phrase “The talked-about South Korea-US summit gift putter” and showcases the same model delivered to President Trump.
