Lotte Homeshopping announced on the 27th that it will conduct its first ever simultaneous public recruitment of show hosts and producers since its establishment.


The company explained that this recruitment is a strategic measure to strengthen synergy between core broadcasting roles. In the era of the "Big Blur," where media boundaries are collapsing, the goal is to enhance broadcasting competitiveness not only on TV homeshopping but also across all mobile channels.

Accordingly, show hosts will be selected based on their ability to go beyond simple product introductions and demonstrate storytelling skills and broadcasting planning capabilities as content creators. For producers, preference will be given to candidates who can analyze new media trends such as YouTube and online video services (OTT), and who can plan and execute new broadcasting formats. Those who are ultimately selected will be developed into "multi-channel broadcasting experts" who will be active across various platforms, including TV, live commerce, and social networking services (SNS).


Applications will be accepted on the official Lotte Homeshopping website from September 1 to 8. The show host recruitment process will begin with a one-minute self-introduction and a product presentation video, followed by camera and audio tests, as well as interviews to assess suitability for the role. Over a two-month period, candidates' abilities will be evaluated from multiple perspectives. Finalist show host candidates will undergo internship training, including voice training, camera tests, show host mentoring, and product presentations, before the final selection is made.


For the producer position, candidates will be comprehensively evaluated on their media capabilities, including broadcast planning, video production, and trend analysis. Applicants with between two and eight years of experience are eligible to apply. The company plans to thoroughly assess both broadcasting experience and digital content production skills.


Through its "multi-channel product provider" strategy, Lotte Homeshopping has seen show hosts from diverse backgrounds, such as former idols, flight attendants, and aquarists, thrive as experts in the field.
