Heat Wave Advisories Issued for Jeonnam, Gyeongsang, and Jeju
Rain and High Temperatures Forecast Across the Country

On Wednesday, the 27th, heat wave advisories will be in effect, mainly in the Jeonnam region, Gyeongsang region, and Jeju Island.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the highest daytime temperatures are forecast to range between 28 and 35 degrees Celsius. As of 5 a.m., the current temperatures in major regions are as follows: Seoul 24.3 degrees, Incheon 24.2 degrees, Suwon 22.5 degrees, Chuncheon 23.2 degrees, Gangneung 26.8 degrees, Cheongju 24.2 degrees, Daejeon 23.0 degrees, Jeonju 24.6 degrees, Gwangju 24.8 degrees, Jeju 27.7 degrees, Daegu 23.8 degrees, Busan 26.9 degrees, Ulsan 24.3 degrees, and Changwon 25.9 degrees Celsius.


In the afternoon, there will be rain in the northeastern mountainous areas of North Gyeongsang and the northern East Coast of North Gyeongsang. There will also be showers in northern North Chungcheong, central inland South Gyeongsang, and Jeju Island. The expected precipitation is around 5 mm in Yeongdong, Gangwon; 5 to 10 mm in the northeastern mountainous areas and northern East Coast of North Gyeongsang; 5 to 20 mm in the northern mountainous areas of Gangwon, northern North Chungcheong, and central inland South Gyeongsang; and 5 to 40 mm in Jeju Island.


Wave heights in the sea will range from 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea coastal waters, and 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the West Sea and South Sea coastal waters. In the offshore areas (within approximately 200 km from the coastline), wave heights will be 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea, and 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the West Sea and South Sea.
