Presidential Office: "Korea-U.S. Summit Was a Well-Produced Blockbuster... Do Not Politically Exploit It"

The Presidential Office described the Korea-U.S. summit between President Lee Jaemyung and U.S. President Donald Trump as "a much-talked-about film with a dramatic twist, shot exceptionally well."

On the 26th at the Presidential Office in Yongsan, Kyuyeon Lee, Chief of Public Relations at the Presidential Office, stated about the summit, "Not only the domestic media but also numerous U.S. foreign news outlets are giving high praise," adding, "The closeness and mutual consideration shown by the two leaders are the defining moments of this summit."

Chief Lee explained, "President Lee thoroughly analyzed and prepared for Trump as a person," and introduced, "Ahead of the visit to the U.S., he read books about Trump and met with many people who had met Trump." He continued, "He repeatedly expressed gratitude, and he had already confirmed and mentioned that the White House interior had been changed to suit Trump's preferences."

Chief Lee added, "Peacemaker is the expression President Trump likes to hear the most. By introducing it as a breakthrough in the North Korea-U.S.-South Korea negotiations, it became the quote of this summit."

Regarding the gifts for the U.S. visit, he called them "the highlight of the study on Trump as a person." The metal turtle ship was crafted not by a typical artist, but by a master mechanical assembler who works in the shipbuilding industry. Chief Lee explained, "It symbolizes both shipbuilding cooperation and defense cooperation." The golf putter was made based on information that President Trump uses a blade putter, and the hat was specially designed considering that there was no cowboy model available.

Meanwhile, Chief Lee stated, "There are some inaccuracies that need to be corrected," and clarified, "According to the U.S. State Department, the President's accommodation was moved to a nearby hotel due to regular maintenance at Blair House." He also pointed out, "The reception by the acting chief of protocol was politely requested in advance by the U.S. side, and President Trump himself clarified on social media before the summit that it was a misunderstanding."

He repeatedly urged, "I strongly request that this not be exploited for political purposes."
