Starting in September, Lee Sunho to Lead the Newly Established CJ Future Strategy Office
Will Oversee Identification of Future Growth Engines and Expansion of New Businesses
Lee Sunho, the eldest son of CJ Group Chairman Lee Jay-hyun and Head of Food Growth Promotion at CJ CheilJedang, is reportedly set to become the head of the newly established Future Planning Office at CJ starting in September. With this appointment, Lee Sunho will be responsible for identifying future growth engines for the group and expanding new businesses.
According to industry sources on August 26, Lee Sunho will return next month from CJ CheilJedang to the CJ Future Strategy Office. This marks his first time working at the holding company in six years.
The Future Planning Office is a dedicated organization tasked with planning new future core businesses. It will be responsible for developing the group’s mid- to long-term vision, discovering new growth engines, and building a strategic system from a future-oriented perspective.
CJ Group stated, "Lee Sunho has served as Head of Food Growth Promotion at CJ CheilJedang, where he has been in charge of scaling up the global food business and identifying new future growth drivers. Based on this experience, he will now be responsible for the group’s future growth engines and the expansion of new businesses."
Lee Sunho joined CJ CheilJedang in 2013 through the group’s open recruitment, served as Head of the Management Strategy Office at CJ Group, and moved to CJ CheilJedang in 2019. Since October 2022, he has been leading the Food Growth Promotion Office, where he has been identifying new future growth drivers.
