Held at the Jeongok-ri Paleolithic Site in Yeoncheon County
The 9th World Military Look Festival Military Culture Festival is scheduled to be held with great success for two days, from September 26 to 27, at the Jeongok-ri Paleolithic Site in Yeoncheon.
This 9th World Military Look Festival Military Culture Festival is hosted by Gyeonggi Province and Yeoncheon County, and organized by the World Military Look Festival Central Association. The 2025 Yeoncheon Military Family Festival and the Gyeonggi Province Peace and Security Hanmadang will also take place alongside the event.
On the 26th, starting at 10 a.m., the opening ceremony and awards ceremony for the Gyeonggi Province Peace and Security Hanmadang will be held, followed by a military family singing contest and celebratory performances. At 5 p.m., the opening ceremony of the Yeoncheon Military Family Festival will take place. On the 27th, a variety of performances will be presented, including Idam Nongak, a cheerleader performance, a jumping performance, a nine-member group band performance organized by the World Military Look Festival Committee, as well as recreational activities with visitors and a Luge Gwang celebratory performance organized by Gyeonggi Province and Yeoncheon County.
In addition, experience and promotional booths will offer a variety of activities, such as Army recruitment promotion, a landmine detector demonstration, a military promotion photo exhibition donated by Colonel Newton, a children's military uniform experience, a Korean War photo exhibition, military equipment displays (Army, Navy, Air Force), tank model making, airsoft gun experiences, a survival experience zone, food booths, and more.
Kim Deokhyun, Mayor of Yeoncheon County, said, "Congratulations on the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the association," and added, "We will do our best to ensure the successful hosting of the Military Culture Festival and Military Family Festival on September 26 and 27."
Honorary Chairman Kim Sungwon also stated, "I am well aware of the difficult and challenging process for establishing the association in September 2016, and it is already the 10th anniversary of its founding," adding, "The Military Culture Festival, which started with much difficulty from the first event, is now so well-known that there is hardly anyone who does not know about it." He continued, "With the groundbreaking of the third National Cemetery in Yeoncheon, as Yeoncheon becomes a city of national defense and veterans, we will strive to ensure that the World Military Look Festival Association can play a leading role whenever a military cultural event is needed."
Baek Hohyun, Chairman of the World Military Look Festival Committee, said, "It is an infinite honor to hold the 9th World Military Look Festival on the 10th anniversary of the association's establishment," and added, "We will make every effort to ensure that this Military Culture Festival becomes an even more developed event in the future."
