HS Hyosung Information Systems Holds 40th Anniversary Celebration Event

HS Hyosung Group announced on August 26 that HS Hyosung Information Systems held a ceremony to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

HS Hyosung Information Systems, a company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) and data infrastructure solutions, held a commemorative event with executives and employees at Hotel Riviera Cheongdam in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on August 25. During the event, the company unveiled its mid- to long-term vision to become a leading player in the artificial intelligence transformation (AX) sector. Under the 40th anniversary slogan, "40 Years Together, Creating Value for the Future," the event provided an opportunity to reflect on past achievements and share future strategies.

More than 280 executives and employees, including CEO Yang Jeonggyu, attended the event, which featured official programs such as the screening of a 40th anniversary video, an awards ceremony (long service awards, merit awards, HIS awards, and exemplary employee awards), and a commemorative speech by the CEO. This was followed by a vocal performance by "THE Heroes Ensemble," a classical music group with the highest number of performances in Korea. The company also plans to launch a special webpage to commemorate its 40th anniversary.

HS Hyosung Information Systems was established in 1985 as "Hyosung NAS Co., Ltd." through a joint venture between Hyosung Group and Hitachi Vantara of the United States. The company became the only domestic capital provider of mainframes in the Korean mid-to-large computer market, and within three years, secured major clients in the manufacturing, public, and financial sectors, laying the foundation for Korea's enterprise IT infrastructure industry. Since then, by supplying a range of innovative infrastructure solutions-including disaster recovery solutions, high-end storage, big data and AI platforms, and HCI/SDDC-the company has maintained its unrivaled position, ranking first in the domestic high-end storage market for 11 consecutive years.

The newly announced 40th anniversary slogan, "40 Years Together, Creating Value for the Future," reflects the trust built with customers over the past four decades and the company's commitment to future challenges. Building on this, the company has set a vision to become a leading AX company. It plans to accelerate future growth by strengthening its existing storage business and developing new businesses such as AI, cloud, and eco-friendly data centers based on data center infrastructure.
