Najin Shopping Center Building 15 (Special Planning Zone 7) and Buildings 17 and 18 (Special Planning Zone 8), located on the eastern side of Yongsan Electronics Market, are the second areas to have detailed development plans finalized, following Buildings 12 and 13 (Special Planning Zone 5).
There are 11 special planning zones within Yongsan Electronics Market, and among them, six zones have submitted resident proposals for detailed development plans and are pushing forward with their respective projects.

During a meeting with veterans’ organizations in June, Mayor Oh Se-hoon shared the vision for the new facilities, and with this plan approval, the city has now detailed the construction plan for the second Veterans Hall. The new Veterans Hall will be built with nine above-ground floors. The city expects to complete architectural permits in the second half of this year, with completion targeted for 2030.
Cho Namjun, head of the Seoul Urban Space Headquarters, said, “With the approval of this detailed development plan, we expect the Yongsan Electronics Market area to be reborn as a hub for industrial innovation, enhancing Seoul’s urban competitiveness.”
