The Saemangeum Development and Investment Agency announced that a delegation from the Mongolian government visited the Sejong Administration City Construction Agency on the 25th to tour key sites. This marks their second official visit, following the first in May of this year.
The delegation, consisting of seven members including the Chief Presidential Advisor of Mongolia, visited to incorporate Sejong's city construction experience into the development of Kharkhorum, Mongolia's new administrative capital. Kharkhorum is set to become the new political and administrative center of Mongolia, with its master plan approved in June and now entering the implementation phase. Since signing a memorandum of understanding in 2023, the Saemangeum Development and Investment Agency has shared its experience and provided policy advice on the construction of the new city in Mongolia.
The agency briefed the delegation on the background, organizational structure, and construction process of the city, and guided them through the rooftop garden of the Government Complex Sejong, the promotional center, and the National Museum Complex. Hyungwook Choi, Director of the Facilities Project Bureau, stated, "Through this cooperation with Mongolia, we aim to widely share the Sejong city case and strengthen international cooperation in urban development."
