Hope Bridge Provides Emergency Bottled Water Aid to Gangneung Amid Severe Drought Hope Bridge is loading bottled water donated by Jeju Development Corporation at the Paju Disaster Relief Logistics Center onto vehicles to support Gangneung City's drought relief efforts. Hope Bridge

Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association (Chairman Lim Chaecheong) announced on August 25 that it had provided an emergency supply of 11,200 bottles of 500ml bottled water, donated by Jeju Development Corporation, to Gangneung City in Gangwon Province, which is suffering from a severe drought and a shortage of domestic water.

This support was provided in response to a request from Gangneung City to the association, as the water level of Obong Reservoir, the city's main water source, dropped to 17.8%, leading to a serious drought. Since August 20, water rationing has begun, worsening the drinking water shortage for residents.

Hope Bridge plans to continue discussing additional support measures in cooperation with Gangneung City to help overcome the drought.

Shin Hoon, Secretary-General of Hope Bridge, stated, "In the midst of this severe drought, securing safe drinking water is the most urgent need. We are grateful to Jeju Development Corporation for their support, and Hope Bridge will continue to be the first to respond at disaster sites and provide the necessary assistance."
