According to the headquarters on August 25, this project is a proactive, preventive policy aimed at preventing the recurrence of similar incidents, following apartment fires that occurred in Busan on June 25 and July 2 while guardians were absent. The initiative will be gradually expanded to 471 households within the province.

The support items include standalone alarm-type detectors and fire suppression patches for electrical outlets, which can help detect residential fires caused by electrical factors at an early stage and assist with initial response.

Firefighters and volunteer fire brigade members will visit homes directly to install the equipment. They will also provide practical safety education, including fire prevention rules and action guidelines.

This project is being carried out with the "119 Safety Welfare Fund" established by Jeonbuk Fire Headquarters staff and donated items from the Jeonbuk branch of the Korea Fire Facility Association. Applications can be made through the "Care Household Support Service" menu on the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Fire Headquarters website or the website of the local fire station for each residence.

Lee Osuk, head of Jeonbuk Fire Headquarters, stated, "We hope this distribution project will serve as a strong foundation for protecting the safety of households with children experiencing care gaps," and added, "We will continue to expand preventive policies for fire-vulnerable groups and further strengthen the safety net so that all residents can feel secure in their daily lives."
