The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization announced on the 25th that they held the "2025 Korea Health & Beauty Festa" in Beijing, China, on the 22nd and 23rd.
On the 22nd, a Korea-China business meeting was held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beijing. The event was attended by more than 300 participants, including representatives from 31 domestic medical, wellness, and tourism organizations, as well as 78 Chinese local travel agencies and related institutions, making it a great success. At the venue, there were demonstrations of AI-based procedure simulations, scalp and skin diagnostics, personal color tests, "one-day care" programs that offer both health and beauty in a single day, and regional recommended itineraries linked to the 88 Excellent Wellness Tourism Destinations, all of which received an enthusiastic response.

On the 23rd, a special consultation and experience event targeting local consumers was held at the Korean Cultural Center in China. Over 800 people registered in advance for the K-Beauty experience event, which was limited to 200 invitees, demonstrating high interest in Korean medical tourism and K-Beauty. Hwang Chiyeul, a singer who has gained great popularity in China, hosted a K-Beauty tourism talk show and shared his vivid experiences.
The Korea Tourism Organization stated that a total of 866 consultations were conducted over the two days, resulting in 127 contracts, and estimated sales of approximately 1.4 billion KRW.
Suh Youngchung, acting president of the Korea Tourism Organization, said, "Last year, the number of foreign medical tourists visiting Korea surpassed one million for the first time, reaching about 1.17 million. Among them, Chinese medical tourists increased by more than 60% to 260,000 compared to 160,000 in 2019, and further growth is expected. The Korea Tourism Organization will continue to generate high-value tourism demand in medical and wellness tourism through customized marketing."
Meanwhile, the Korea Tourism Organization announced that on the 22nd, it held a briefing session for premium customers and signed a financial business agreement with China's largest high-net-worth club. Through this agreement, the organization plans to develop high-value travel products themed around Korean medical and beauty tourism, jointly promote them to club members, and pursue long-term cooperation.
