This production, which was selected for the "2025 Performing Arts Regional Distribution Project" by the Arts Management Support Center, is one of Igor Stravinsky's most renowned works based on a Russian folktale. It tells the story of a soldier who sells his soul (his violin) to the devil in exchange for wealth and power, only to ultimately lose everything.

The performance is a multidisciplinary show that combines music, theater, and narration, sharply and symbolically depicting the inner conflict experienced at the crossroads of human desire and choice.

This classic musical play blends narrative and performance, featuring Stravinsky's signature rhythmic music (chamber orchestra), actors' performances, and narration, creating a deeply immersive experience. Audiences will follow the soldier's journey within the story, taking time to reflect on the essence and value of life.

The performance will be held twice, at 7 p.m. on August 29 and 30, with all seats priced at 10,000 won. Tickets can be reserved through Ticket Link, and for more information, inquiries can be made to the Culture and Arts Division of Seo-gu Office.

Lee Hyunsun, head of the Culture and Arts Division, stated, "This production reinterprets a classic theme in a modern way and will provide an opportunity to reflect on one's own desires and choices through art. I hope this profound stage will touch the hearts of all audience members."
