Daily Funding: "Over Half of 20s Online Investment Investors Make Small, Diversified Investments Under 100,000 Won"

"Shorter Investment Periods Gain Attention
Growing Interest in Products with Terms of Six Months or Less"

A recent survey has found that a trend prioritizing stability over returns is spreading among investors in online investment-linked financial products. Even investors in their 20s, who were previously known for not shying away from high-risk investments, are now focusing on reducing volatility.

Daily Funding: "Over Half of 20s Online Investment Investors Make Small, Diversified Investments Under 100,000 Won"

According to Daily Funding, an online investment-linked financial company, more than half of investors in their 20s have made small, diversified investments of 100,000 won or less since the beginning of this year, the company announced on the 25th.

These investors were found to prefer products with investment periods of six months or less.

There are approximately 42,000 investors in their 20s at Daily Funding. Last year, they accounted for one-quarter of new investment members.

The company explained that as market volatility has recently increased, concerns over losses in high-risk investment products have grown, leading investors to choose online investment-linked finance as an alternative.

Among investors in their 20s, the number of cases where 10,000 won-the minimum investment amount at Daily Funding-was invested in small, diversified portfolios exceeded 1,000.

The most popular products among investors in their 20s were those with short investment periods, ranging from as little as one month to a maximum of six months. Among these, products with annual returns of 10 to 12 percent were preferred. It appears that they view these as alternative investment options that provide liquidity and are suitable for building seed money.

Daily Funding plans to offer products with fixed returns over set investment periods to meet the needs of investors in their 20s seeking alternative investment destinations. This is creating a synergistic effect by expanding the financial base for the underbanked, including individuals with mid- to low-credit scores and small business owners.

Lee Minwoo, CEO of Daily Funding, said, "As volatility continues both domestically and internationally, investors in their 20s are paying attention to our products. Based on our fintech expertise and risk management know-how, we will secure more customers and achieve rapid growth."
