People Power Party Runoff Mobile Voting Turnout Hits 39.75%, Exceeds Main Primary

ARS Voting on the 25th,
Final Results to Be Announced on the 26th

The mobile (online) voting turnout among party members for the runoff election to select the next leader of the People Power Party recorded 39.75%.


The party's Election Management Committee announced that the turnout for the first day of mobile voting by party member electors, which took place from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the 24th, was tallied at this rate. This is 2.24 percentage points higher than the 37.51% mobile voting turnout recorded during the main primary on the 20th, in which four candidates for party leader participated.

As in the main primary, the runoff reflects 80% of the results from party member voting via mobile and ARS, and 20% from a public opinion poll of the general public. On the 25th, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., ARS voting will be conducted for electors who did not participate in the mobile voting. The final winner is scheduled to be announced on the 26th at the National Assembly Library.
