Restoration Completed at All but One Location
At around 1:13 p.m. on August 24, a large crane toppled over at a construction site in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, causing a power outage in the surrounding area.
According to fire authorities and Korea Electric Power Corporation, the 60-ton crane hit a utility pole as it fell, resulting in power outages at 73 locations, including nearby commercial buildings and residences. As of now, power has been restored to all but one location.
The crane operator, a man in his 50s, sustained minor injuries and received treatment from fire authorities at the scene.
